Renamed the ed directory to edis, as suggested · 2e66266d

      yesterday. This eliminates possible confusion
about what exactly in this directory; the name
      is still short, though.

Changed to Chris Lattner's suggested approach, which · 10b9639b
      Sean Callanan authored
merely stubs out the blocks-based disassembly functions
if the library wasn't built with blocks, which allows a
constant .exports file and also properly deals with
situations in which the compiler used to build a client
is different from the compiler used to build the library.

Eliminate SetDirective, and replace it with HasSetDirective. · ff234e09
      Chris Lattner authored
Default HasSetDirective to true, since most targets have it.

The targets that claim to not have it probably do, or it is
spelled differently. These include Blackfin, Mips, Alpha, and
PIC16. All of these except pic16 are normal ELF targets, so
      they almost certainly have it.

Rip all of the global variable lowering logic out of TargetAsmInfo. Since · 5e693ed0
      Chris Lattner authored
it is highly specific to the object file that will be generated in the end,
this introduces a new TargetLoweringObjectFile interface that is implemented
for each of ELF/MachO/COFF/Alpha/PIC16 and XCore.

Though still is still a brutal and ugly refactoring, this is a major step
      towards goodness.

      This patch also:
      1. fixes a bunch of dangling pointer problems in the PIC16 backend.
      2. disables the TargetLowering copy ctor which PIC16 was accidentally using.
      3. gets us closer to xcore having its own crazy target section flags and
pic16 not having to shadow sections with its own objects.
      4. fixes wierdness where ELF targets would set CStringSection but not
         CStringSection_. Factor the code better.
      5. fixes some bugs in string lowering on ELF targets.
