The statement passed to isTrackedFamily() might be a user defined function calling malloc; in this case we got AF_NONE family for this function. Now the allocation family is derived from Sym, that holds a family of a real allocator. This commit is also a movement towards getting rid of tracking memory allocating by unknown means. llvm-svn: 178834

from IRExecutionUnit into a superclass called IRMemoryMap. IRMemoryMap handles all reading and writing, ensuring that areas are kept track of and memory is properly cached (and deleted). Also fixed several cases where we would simply leak binary data in the target process over time. Now the expression objects explicitly own their IRExecutionUnit and delete it when they go away. This is why I had to modify ClangUserExpression, ClangUtilityFunction, and ClangFunction. As a side effect of this, I am removing the JIT mutex for an IRMemoryMap. If it turns out that we need this mutex, I'll add it in then, but right now it's just adding complexity. This is part of a more general project to make expressions fully reusable. The next step is to make materialization and dematerialization use the IRMemoryMap API rather than writing and reading directly from the process's memory. This will allow the IR interpreter to use the same data, but in the host's memory, without having to use a different set of pointers. llvm-svn: 178832

plugin will index the kext bundles on the local filesystem when created. During a kernel debug session, when the DynamicLoader plugin needs to locate a kext by name like "com.apple.com.apple.filesystems.autofs", the Platform can quickly look for a UUID match in those kernel debug kit directories it previously indexed. I'm still working on profiling the performance impact of the inital kext bundle scan; there will likely need to be a switch to enable or disable this plugin's scan. This only affects Mac kernel debugging and the code is only built on Apple systems because of some use of low-level CoreFoundation to parse plists. <rdar://problem/13503583> llvm-svn: 178827

This fixes an issue pointed to by Jordan: if unix.Malloc and unix.MismatchedDeallocator are both on, then we end up still tracking leaks of memory allocated by new. Moved the guards right before emitting the bug reports to unify and simplify the logic of handling of multiple checkers. Now all the checkers perform their checks regardless of if they were enabled, or not, and it is decided just before the emitting of the report, if it should be emitted. (idea from Anna). Additional changes: improved test coverage for checker correlations; refactoring: BadDealloc -> MismatchedDealloc llvm-svn: 178814

crashlog.py was always subtracting 1 to point to the previous instruction when symbolicating ARM backtraces. Many times the backtraces will include bit zero set to 1 to indicate thumb, so we need to make sure we mask the address and then backup one for non frame zero frames. llvm-svn: 178812

Pass down the fact that an operand is going to be a vector of constants. This should bring the performance of MultiSource/Benchmarks/PAQ8p/paq8p on x86 back. SSE2 has efficient support for shifts by a scalar. My previous change of making shifts expensive did not take this into account marking all shifts as expensive. This would prevent vectorization from happening where it is actually beneficial. With this change we differentiate between shifts of constants and other shifts. radar://13576547 llvm-svn: 178808

On certain architectures we can support efficient vectorized version of instructions if the operand value is uniform (splat) or a constant scalar. An example of this is a vector shift on x86. We can efficiently support for (i = 0 ; i < ; i += 4) w[0:3] = v[0:3] << <2, 2, 2, 2> but not for (i = 0; i < ; i += 4) w[0:3] = v[0:3] << x[0:3] This patch adds a parameter to getArithmeticInstrCost to further qualify operand values as uniform or uniform constant. Targets can then choose to return a different cost for instructions with such operand values. A follow-up commit will test this feature on x86. radar://13576547 llvm-svn: 178807

There is a difference for FORM_ref_addr between DWARF 2 and DWARF 3+. Since Eric is against guarding DWARF 2 ref_addr with DarwinGDBCompat, we are still in discussion on how to handle this. This turns on not only destructor inlining, but inlining of constructors for types with non-trivial destructors. Per r178516, we will still not inline the constructor or destructor of anything that looks like a container unless the analyzer-config option 'c++-container-inlining' is set to 'true'. BCL is normally a conditional branch-and-link instruction, but has an unconditional form (which is used in the SjLj code, for example). To make clear that this BCL instruction definition is specifically the special unconditional form (which does not meaningfully take a condition-register input), rename it to BCLalways. Added TBAABaseType and TBAAOffset in LValue. These two fields are initialized to the actual type and 0, and are updated in EmitLValueForField. Path-aware TBAA tags are enabled for EmitLoadOfScalar and EmitStoreOfScalar. Added command line option -struct-path-tbaa. llvm-svn: 178797
