Avoid non-attributive uses of 'unsupported' in diagnostics

We don't have a style guide for diagnostic messages, but convention strongly
favours the forms:

  'attribute is not supported', 'unsupported attribute'

We generally avoid:

  'attribute is unsupported', 'non-supported attribute'
